Proactive Maintenance and Early Detection

Several studies show that building automation systems are not as smart as you might think. The challenges with a BMS are that they are designed for engineers and lack opportunities for advanced analysis across the building masses. Just 6 – 9 months after installation buildings do not run optimally. This is due to changes that typically happen in a building (occupants in/out, moving around office/wall elements, rebuilds and defective sensors, etc.). With our Discover EMS you are monitoring that the BMS is doing the job like it is supposed to do.

Discover comes with a powerful reporting engine that delivers word, pdf, excel files in your mailbox daily, weekly, monthly or annually. Select different reports for building, a group of building or your entire building portfolio. The reports can be customized to fit your exact needs and we have included placeholders for comments. This makes it incredibly easy to distribute information about how your buildings are performing with customers and shareholders.

Discover is more than just energy management

When we decided to build a new energy management system we wanted to do more than just provide information about energy usage in the building. With Discover you also get modules for monitoring the power quality, indoor climate, environment & waste management.

In addition a new invoice module that helps with tenant billing are scheduled for release in January 2019.

Energy Application

Easy and simple user interface

Our application is built upon a “Users First” approach where all the important information is easily accessible in different cards/widgets.

We have included several summary cards throughout the application so that key performance indicators are not lost in all the different data.

Temperature readings is imported from local “MET Weather stations” and the energy consumption can be adjusted for degree days.

Interactive Maps

The solution comes with built-in Google Maps. All buildings and sites are presented by their GPS coordinates on an interactive map, where it is easy to get the latest status by looking at the marker colour. We have defined some default rules for the application, but the users can also define their own custom rules and thresholds.

Rules & Notifications

Discover comes with an intuitive rule engine and configuration tool were the user can easily define their own alarm and warning thresholds. For instance if a load is drawing more power for a given time, compared to what is allowed by the threshold limits.

You can also setup alerts for missing meter data and if your energy consumption is about to overrun the budget.

For now we support notification by email & SMS, but we are working on integration with other services.

Powerful and flexible reporting engine

Discover comes with our leading generator for all your reporting needs. The system comes with several predefined templates for word, pdf and excel that you can have delivered to your inbox daily , weekly, monthly or annually. You can select different reports for building, a group of buildings or your entire building portfolio. This makes it incredibly easy to distribute information about how your buildings are performing with customers and shareholders.The reports can be customized to fit your exact needs and we have included placeholders for comments.

Power Quality Monitoring

With our Power Quality Module we are running edge analytics on our embedded SiteGuard device. The rules are configured to comply with REN:BLAD 4021 and FOL (Forskrift Om Leveringskvalitet). This module requires that you install a power quality analyzer on your site/building and the features available would be reliant on the specifications of the PQA. With this module you can reduce costly downtime and monitor if the current delivery from the utility company are according to regulations. Over/under voltage, transients and harmonics are causing millions worth of damage to technical equipment every year.
